Current use of census records from 1930 in public administration institutions and individuals
Týslová, Natálie ; Ebelová, Ivana (advisor) ; Kokošková, Zdeňka (referee)
Censuses are an interesting source of data that give us a closer look at individuals and their households. Each census has its own specificities and also reflects some of the themes of its time e.g. nationality issues. The 1930 census records at the National Archives are not widely available today, yet they are a widely used source of information by institutions and researchers. The goal of this paper was to look at this census in the wider context of other censuses, and then to assess the frequency of use of the 1930 census operatives from the perspective of institutions and researchers. At the same time, the perspectives of institutions and researchers were sought on the possibility of possibly facilitating investigations into the 1930 census returns. A questionnaire method was used to obtain feedback on the responses to the above questions.
